What You'll Make

Your ticket includes everything you need to create your own stained glass suncatcher, plus a drink to enjoy while you work.

 

You'll choose from a rotating selection of pre-made patterns when you book your ticket. Each pattern may be available in different color schemes depending on what we have in stock.

Pattern and color selections are final and cannot be changed after your ticket is purchased, so take a peek at your options before checking out!

 

Because this is a mini class, your glass pieces will already be cut for you. If you'd like to learn how to select, cut, and shape your own glass, we recommend our Intro to Stained Glass class instead.

Class Details

Maximum class size: 6 students

Classes take place in our in-home studio, located about 1 mile from downtown Cary, NC. Our home is animal-friendly, but no animals will be present during class.

The class address, parking instructions, and entrance information will be provided after purchase. Keep an eye out for your welcome email!

Our Drink Menu

Choose from a variety of canned drinks while you create, including ciders, pop/soda, seltzers, refreshing soda water, and more.

What's Included?

All tools and many of the materials you'll need are included with your class:

  • Gloves

  • Safety glasses

  • Aprons / Bibs

  • Masks

  • Foil, burnishers

  • Flux

  • Solder

  • Soldering irons

  • Finishing patinas

  • Wax

  • Chain

  • Hugs, if needed 

What Should I Bring?

Required:

  • Closed-toed shoes

  • Eye glasses if you require them to see up close

 

We recommend:

  • Cotton-based clothing

  • Clothing that could get stained (this is an art workshop!)

  • Something to tie back long hair

  • A closed-top water bottle

Lead & Chemicals

Please be aware that we work with lead-containing solder, acids, and other chemicals during this workshop.

 

We take safety seriously and provide appropriate safety equipment and guidance throughout the class. Follow all studio safety instructions, and wash your hands thoroughly after working with materials.

Waiver

Each student must purchase a ticket and complete the class waiver at checkout. If you're purchasing multiple tickets, each participant will need to complete a waiver as well.

Refunds & Cancellations

Registration closes 24 hours before the class date.

 

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the class can receive a full refund, minus processing fees, or be transferred to another available class date.

​

Cancellations made after registration has closed are not eligible for a refund.

Mini Stained Glass Class

Learn the basics of Tiffany-method stained glass in our beginner-friendly in-home studio in Cary, NC! During this ~3-hour mini stained glass class, you'll create your own stained glass suncatcher using pre-cut glass pieces while learning the fundamentals of copper foiling, soldering, and finishing.

Choose your favorite pattern ahead of class, and we'll have all of your glass pieces pre-cut and ready for you. That means you can spend your time learning the fun parts: foiling, soldering, and turning your pieces of glass into a finished work of art.

​

With small class sizes and plenty of hands-on guidance, this beginner stained glass workshop is perfect for total beginners, crafty friends, date nights, or anyone looking to try a new creative hobby.

You'll leave class with a completed stained glass piece to take home the same day!
